Admission of international applicants

Each study programme has its specific entrance requirements. Please refer to the profile of the chosen for degree programme specific information.

In general, your previous school and university education needs to fulfil the entrance qualification for universities in Germany. The recognition of your school leaving certificates / your university certificates as the required entrance qualification in Germany depends on the system of secondary/tertiary education in your home country. A good command of the German language, which enables you to follow the lectures and work independently, is a further admission requirement (exception: English Programme 'B.A. International Business and Management')

Where to apply

For international applicants there are two ways of applying for admission: Some students have to send their application documents directly to Fachhochschule Osnabrück, whereas others have to apply via uni-assist. uni-assist is a central office in Berlin which certifies the application documents and supports German universities in their selection of foreign students.

 

At Fachhochschule Osnabrück the application procedure depends on the chosen study programme:

Who applies directly to Fachhochschule Osnabrück?

  • all foreign applicants who apply for Master courses
  • all foreign applicants who completed a 'Studienkolleg' in Germany

 

Who applies via uni-assist?

  • all foreign applicants who apply for Bachelor study courses
