Organisation of Fachhochschule Osnabrueck
The University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck is a public corporation which is authorised to administer itself. Its affairs are described in the ”Grundordnung” (basic regulations) and other regulations.
Central bodies of the university are Chair and Senate (NHG § 15).
In the regulation of the Ministry for Sciences, Research and Arts (”Ministerium fuer Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kunst”, MWK) on the Foundation Fachhochschule Osnabrueck of 17 December 2002, the State of Lower Saxony established a Foundation under Public Law with legal capacity named ”Stiftung Fachhochschule Osnabrueck” based in Osnabrueck.
The Foundation is responsible for funding Fachhochschule Osnabrueck. The Foundation also maintains and promotes Fachhochschule Osnabrueck in its function as a public corporation (”NHG” Section 55 et seq.).
Bodies of this foundation are the Foundation Board and the Directorate of the University.
