International Relations

Teaching and research at Fachhochschule Osnabrueck are embedded in a network of international relations. The mobility of students and teaching staff play an important role. We participate in the SOCRATES, LEONARDO and TEMPUS programmes of the European Union and use the European Course Credit Transfer System (ECTS) for mutual recognition of credits achieved at partner universities. Close co-operation with the Saxion Hogeschool Enschede, a Dutch University of Applied Sciences just across the border, has led to the creation of ”ENOTIS”, the Bi-National Centre of Higher Education Enschede - Osnabrueck, which allows students of both universities to supplement their range of courses with subjects offered by the respective partner institution. But our international relations are not confined to Europe: We co-operate with institutions from the Caribbean to Siberia and from South Africa to China.
